Minister Commends Mitsubishi Electric Automation Laboratory

The Mitsubishi Electric Automation Laboratory, based in University of Limerick, was officially opened last month by Minister Denis Naughten T.D. of the Department for Communication, Climate Action & Environment. Accompanying Minister Naughten in the opening was professor Don Barry, University of Limerick President, and CiarĂ¡n Moody, Mitsubishi Electric Ireland General Manager. The Laboratory is a custom designed work space aimed to expose Engineering and Technology students to the needs of modern Automation and Manufacturing. Students will be exposed to an array of equipment from robotic arms and robotic controllers to Programmable Logistic Controllers and vision systems.
